I am so glad this week is over. It's been a week of constantly putting my foot in my mouth, both at a time at some points, culminating in the biggest one occurring this evening. I couldn't have had a worse week in that sense, not even close, god. I know I'm not usually this bad, but this week... just feel like such a colossal idiot. Thankfully, Monday is a holiday and it's a long weekend. I'm going to use it to catch up on much-needed sleep and to hopefully unwind and stop being so stupid. Hopefully I can get a hold of my cousin and maybe go to see a movie with him on Sunday afternoon or something; it's always therapeutic to get to talk to him about things and seeing a movie would be nice on top of that, I don't know.

I hope everyone else's week has gone better than mine, and that everyone has a good weekend.

So, I just cashed in virtually all of my Aeroplan points, but I now have a date certain for travel back to Philadelphia to see my wife. I even added a new ticker to my profile to commemorate the occasion. Call me silly, but having a fixed date in mind makes me feel better for some reason. Maybe it's because I have an exact idea of how much longer I have to wait before we're together again or just having a countdown helps, I don't know, but it just does. So that's that.

Other than that, I took a half sick day this morning because I was worn out, but I'm back at the office now and as I spent a good bit of time already booking the flight and calling to confirm everything (still have to pay the taxes and fees for both flights, which is now done) I should actually devote the rest of the afternoon to, you know, working. :)

So, LoudTwitter is down, it seems. I've been taking it easy for awhile, and believeitup and I spent the weekend playing in the Aion beta. It's so much fun, omg, a fantastic little game. It's been up and running in Korea for awhile now, so the beta is pretty polished, and the best part is you get to fly in it. Very fun!

Other than that, work has been busy and I've been missing my wife. I've gotten a few new movies, one of which I watched tonight, The Ten, which... omg, so so funny. If you like David Wain / Michael Ian Black / Michael Showalter (i.e. Stella) type humour, it's right up your alley. So many actors and actresses in it, and so bizarre, but I loved it. :) Ordered some more movies on eBay because I had some left over money in my PayPal account, including Wet Hot American Summer, which I've seen before but don't own, and a few others that should be good. Good times!

Ok, it's only after 12 but I've been trying to get to bed earlier lately, so off I go. Hope everyone else is doing well!

Spending the afternoon / early evening in the city with Dad (he wants to get a new screen or something for one of the windows in the house and maybe get supper), and we're leaving now in a fewm, but wanted to make a quick post here first. Oh, to heck with it, a bullet point update ftw:

· Been playing LOTRO heavily again; long story short, joined a new kin on Wednesday, new content came out on Wednesday too, and been raiding intensely with the new people since then. Went to bed 5am this morning as a result, and no earlier than 2:30am all week long since Wed.

· Know that this is bad and will stop staying up so late soon, but it's the weekend now and it's ok so pthbbbt. :)

· Work has been insane and I was in court in the city for like 7 of the last 9 days of work in the last 2 weeks (last Monday was a provincial holiday, still had to talk to an arrested client that day and the day before via phone though >.<)

· Listening to lots of music again; the new Green Day is awesome, bought Paul's Boutique and Pet Sounds yesterday while in the city and digging those too.

· Will post a more detailed update possibly tomorrow, as likely when I get home tonight there will be more raiding. >.>

Have to pop into the city tomorrow for Court at a very weird time. It's only to set a date for a trial, which will actually just be getting our matter put on a general trial list, I'm sure, though who knows. Either way, it'll only take a few minutes to actually accomplish. However, it's at 12 noon, and by necessity is at the Unified Family Court in the city, which means I'll have to leave to drive in around 10:30am. Knowing this Court's schedule and how slow it goes, we likely won't get heard until closer to 12:30pm, and then it's a quick lunch - I'm actually going to eat in there, I refuse to pick up drive-through and eat while driving back unless it's absolutely necessary - and back at the office by, oh, maybe 3:00pm if I'm lucky. So that one, brief appearance in Court will derail the whole day, pretty much. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing, it's just that I have so much to do lately and have a hard enough time getting motivated enough / finding time to do things when I have the time, let alone when a lot of it is taken out of my hands. Eh, it'll be ok, I'm sure, but still feeling rather blah about the whole situation.

There's more to talk about on that front, but I'll save that for another time as it's nearing on 1:00am and I promised the wife an e-mail before I go to sleep, as the poor dear has to open again tomorrow (and Wednesday, and Thursday too), so off to do that before I sleep myself.
